COVID-19: Updates & Resources
Phase 2 officially begins Monday, June 22. Re-openings include: Outdoor dining will be allowed
In-Store retail (no malls at this time may open)
Salons and barbershops.
Real estate services (this includes apartment showings, but only in unoccupied or vacant apartments).
Commercial building management. Offices (though many companies will keep working remotely, the office will be reopening with new safety guidelines).
Playgrounds (with "social distancing ambassadors").
Houses of worship can reopen at 25% capacity. The subway remains open with overnight closures for cleaning. Buses require passengers to enter & exit through the rear door.
Each business or entity, including those that have been designated as essential under Empire State Development's Essential Business Guidance, must develop a written Safety Plan outlining how its workplace will prevent the spread of COVID-19. The plan must be made available to the New York State
Department of Health (DOH) or local health or safety authorities in the event of an inspection.
