Calling All of Sunset Park’s Businesses to Breakfast!

An important aspect of business is “networking.” It is important to stay in touch with business trends. To make this easier, the Sunset Park 5th Avenue BID is going to sponsor a monthly business leaders breakfast. This breakfast meeting is open to all BID businesses in Sunset Park.

The first of these breakfasts took place on Thursday April 17th from 8:30am to 9:30am at George’s Restaurant on 57th Street and 5th Avenue. Future breakfast meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month (you should call the BID at 718 439-7767 for the location of the breakfast).

It is our hope that elected officials will put the breakfast on their calendars so that once a month they will be able to hear from our business community about issues of concern.

Each meeting will have an open agenda so that we can discuss the most current and important issues at hand. Typical items for discussion might include: low cost health insurance programs, business loans, advertising and local business trends.

This will also be a great opportunity to find out what the BID is working on - or to put your “two cents” in early in the process so that you can better guarantee that BID projects will meet your specific needs. Here is something you may not know - George’s Restaurant has been serving Sunset Park since 1957 and has a fleet of 6 cars for home delivery!
